The Long Bar is the Market Theatre’s very own bar, open every show night before and after the show. When we have a show on, we are open 6.30pm-late Thursday and Friday, and 5pm-late on Saturdays.
HIRE
The Long Bar is ideal for small gatherings, meetings and meet-up’s. Hosting up to 60 people, it is the perfect spot for intimate events.
The space includes a fully staffed bar, selling beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and cocktails, and we allow external buffet-style food to be bought on site. We have a sound system, that can be played from a phone. We even have some board games you can play!

*Evening events can begin from 7.30pm. We allow access to the space 1 hour prior to the start time for set-up. Our staff are happy to assist with this. Please note, some evenings we have shows in the theatre, and this may move your set-up window to an earlier time slot.
*Please note, there is no disabled access for our Long Bar. It is reached via stair access only. Our Cabaret Bar is available with no stair access required.
